About Fibro Active
Fibro Active is a positive and inclusive support group for people with Fibromyalgia (FM) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and their carers.
The programme focuses on healthy lifestyle, light exercise, support and sharing information as well as educating members about their condition and help them to move forward with their acceptance and management of the illness.
The instructors are mainly FM and CFS sufferers who have researched and are qualified to deliver, Tai Chi, nutrition and lifestyle, gentle walks, emotional workshops and once a month we have a guest speaker who could be from local services such as Citizens Advice, Arthritis Research UK and Health Watch. We also signpost you to relevant services if required.
Our programme incorporates the governments 5 ways to wellbeing. We call it the Fibro 5. The 5 ways to Fibro wellbeing. Learn more about the Fibro 5 here.
The group is run by volunteer sufferers for sufferers as we believe that we are the best people to understand what we are all going through. We empower members into seeing that they can have a life with Fibro.
