Space to think is an extension of our Tai Chi classes on Monday afternoons. It allows Tai Students to drop in for a structured cuppa and chat where they can gain further support with coping skills or sharing worries to help reduce the stress of life in a safe and familiar environment.

The aim is to help individuals feel less isolated and to build confidence and form friendships with their fellow students so that we all feel connected and create our own little Tai Chi community.

Sadly, due to Covid restrictions, we are unable to offer our small group drop in service. We are also concerned that during these unprecedented times, it will become increasing more difficult to access emotional support.

We are able to offer a pre-booked 1-2-1 emotional support session for either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. This will be a chat with Sue from Open Minds either face to face or on Zoom.

We are no longer able to offer our small group short courses for people who suffer with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ ME, who may find it difficult to access a group environment and for existing members who are finding it difficult to function in a larger group setting. However, we are able to offer a 30 minute or 60 minute 1-2-1. Strictly by booking only. You may be able to book in a space on a Monday afternoon subject to availability. Individuals should ideally be in the catchment area of NG10 (Long Eaton, Sawley, Sandiacre, Breaston, Draycott) or within a 5- mile radius of Petersham Community Hall. Grasmere Rd, Long Eaton. NG10 4DZ.

You must be able to find your own way to Petersham Community Hall for face to face. The bus stop is just outside the hall on the Briargate route if you don’t have your own transport.
