Finalists in the ‘Make a Difference Awards’
Fibro Active were nominated for a BBC make a difference award. There were a number of nominations for us. The nomination from Yvonne Wake one of our original members is the one they chose. We attended the awards event on Sunday September 10th. We were served afternoon tea and there were a number of celebrities and local politicians present. We were runner’s up in the Community Group category. Thank you so much to everyone for your support.
Mayor’s Award
In May 2022 our chairperson Julie Barker received the Mayor’s Award. Julie was nominated by Jane Gordon the group’s Treasurer.
Erewash Awards 2020
Fibro Active were runners up in the Project/ Initiative/ Innovation category at the Active lives in Erewash Awards 2020.
